Kunst- und Kulturvermittlung
Für eine Bewerbung in dieser Sparte ersuchen wir zu berücksichtigen, dass Kunst- und Kulturvermittlerinnen/Kulturvermittler im Verständnis dieser Ausschreibung Personen sind, die für den pädagogischen Teil einer Ausstellung, eines Konzerts, eines Theaters etc. zuständig sind und Kommunikationsprozesse zwischen Besucherinnen, Besuchern und Kunstschaffenden oder dem Kunstwerk, dem Konzert, der Aufführung etc. gestalten.
Kunst- und Kulturvermittlung kann in unterschiedlichen Settings stattfinden und beinhaltet kulturelle Bildung im formalen und non-formalen Bildungsbereich ebenso wie Vermittlungsprogramme in Kunst- und Kulturinstitutionen.
In der Sparte Kunst- und Kulturvermittlung ist der Aufenthalt primär für Austausch und Vernetzung und nicht für die Realisierung eines Projektes gedacht.
Von den Bewerberinnen/Bewerbern ist Erfahrung bzw. eine mehrjährige Tätigkeit in diesem Bereich nachzuweisen.

Postalische Bewerbungen oder Bewerbungen per E-Mail können nicht berücksichtigt werden.
Eine Bewerbung beinhaltet:
1. komplett ausgefüllte Online-Formulare;
2. Porträtfoto (z.B. Passfoto);
3. Lebenslauf bzw. beruflicher Werdegang als Kunst- und Kulturvermittlerin/ Kulturvermittler;
4. Motivationsschreiben unter Angabe der aktuellen künstlerischen Interessen und Projekte als Kunst- und Kulturvermittlerin/Kulturvermittler (max. 1 Seite);
5. eine Beschreibung der Erwartung an den Residenz-Aufenthalt hinsichtlich Kontakte und Vernetzung sowie des geplanten Nutzens für künftige Vermittlungsprojekte (max. 1 Seite);
6. ein (1) Empfehlungsschreiben (z.B. von einer Kunst- und Kulturinstitution, einem Festival, einer Kunstmesse oder einer Bildungseinrichtung etc.);
7. Angaben zu allen bisherigen Residencies, Studienaufenthalten bzw. Praktika in Österreich in den letzten fünf Jahren (dieser Punkt entfällt, so dieses Stipendium den erstmaligen Aufenthalt der Bewerberin/des Bewerbers in Österreich darstellen würde).
8. Detaillierte Dokumentation zu abgeschlossenen und/oder laufenden Projekten, gemeint ist die Darstellung der vermittlerischen Tätigkeit (max. 10 Seiten).
Bewerbungen können ab sofort bis spätestens 30. September 2018, 24.00 Uhr, nach Registrierung auf www.artists-in-residence-austria.at eingereicht werden. Für die fristgerechte Einreichung gilt der elektronische Zeitstempel (Mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit – MESZ).
Die Jurysitzungen finden voraussichtlich in den Monaten Oktober/November statt. Im Auswahlverfahren werden nur vollständige Bewerbungen berücksichtigt.
Die Bewerberinnen/Bewerber werden sowohl vom Einlangen ihrer Bewerbung als auch vom Ergebnis der Auswahlsitzung schriftlich in Kenntnis gesetzt. Jurybegründungen werden nicht bekannt gegeben.

Cultural education
For an application in this sector please consider that cultural educators within the meaning of this call are responsible for the pedagogic part of an exhibition, concert, theatre etc. and in charge for the communication between the audience and the artists or the art.
Cultural education can take place in a variety of settings, including arts education in formal and non formal educational institutions and educational programmes in cultural institutions.
In the field of cultural education, the stay is primarily designed to foster exchanges and networking and not the realisation of a project.
Applicants need to establish proof of previous experience and/or work of several years in this sector.
The following application documents need to be submitted electronically via the www.artists-in-residence-austria.at online platform within the respective deadline.
Applications by post or email cannot be considered.
An application portfolio contains mandatorily the following documents:
1. completely filled-in online-forms,
2. portrait photograph (standard quality, e.g. passport picture),
3. CV or description of professional career as a cultural educator,
4. a motivation letter specifying current artistic interests and projects as a cultural educator (no more than 1 page),
5. a description of the expectations as to the benefit of the residence period regarding contacts and networking as well as future projects (not more than 1 page)
6. one letter of recommendation (e.g. from an institution related to art and culture, a festival, an art trade fair, an educational institution etc.),
7. information about all previous residencies, study visits and traineeships in Austria within the last 5 years (not applicable if this residency would be the applicant’s first residency in Austria).
8. detailed documentation of completed or ongoing projects, meaning a description of the educational activity of no more than 10 pages.
Applications can be submitted as of now until no later than September 30, 2018, 24.00, upon registration at www.artists-in-residence-austria.at. The electronic timestamp will be used to determine whether the submission was within the deadline (Central European Summer Time – CEST).
Jury meetings are expected to take place in the months of October/November. The jury shall only consider complete applications.
Applicants will be informed in writing of the receipt of their submission and of the result of the jury meeting. Reasons given by the jury will not be communicated.
